With a seating capacity of 280, the restaurant has a play are for children and is divided into two areas: indoors – air conditioned and entirely refurbished in 2007 to a design by architect Massimo Criscuolo in a contemporary style – and outdoors, with wood trellised perimeter, round tables and chairs supplied by the Emu garden furnishings company, commanding a stunning view towards the dome of the Basilica of Santa Maria degli Angeli.
In spring and summer it is possible to eat outdoors and enjoy candlelit dinners accompanied by live music (on request) or watch films or sporting events on the projection screen.
The Sorella Luna restaurant is ideal for working lunches, banquets, buffets, functions, wedding parties or romantic, candlelit dinners.
The cuisine is reliant on local produce, with a strong leaning towards traditional Umbrian dishes such as cured meats, wine and olive oil – the hills between Assisi and Trevi are renowned for being one of the finest for this produce.
Our wine cellar offers a fine selection of Umbrian wineries divided by area, with particular attention devoted to Sagrantino di Montefalco and wines from the area around Orvieto for the internationally renowned Orvieto Classico white.
Our red wine list offers a broad choice of bottles from neighboring Tuscany, such as Chianti or Brunello di Montalcino. For our house wine we use a Montefalco winery which we consider to have an excellent price-quality ratio.
Prepared with artful passion by our chef Artan, the dishes on our menu are largely regional, in which the freshness and quality of local ingredients is fully exploited and heightened.
Our ingredients are chosen with care and delivered fresh daily. We use only local ingredients, none of which are subjected to freezing and all of which carry quality certificates to guarantee the highest standards.
Our menus offer dishes both for those who are intolerant to gluten and for vegetarians.
For those guests who want to savor the variety of Umbrian cuisine to the fullest, we offer delicious tasting menus with cheeses, local cured meats, unsalted Umbrian bread, torta al testo and home-made desserts.
